Keeling Boxes

Below are pictures of several Keeling boxes from my collection. I have tried to show them in cronological order from the earliest to the latest. They are all 2 inches wide by 8 1/8 inches long except for the 'Expert' box which is 1 3/4 inches wide by 5 3/4 inches long and the Life Like Wiggler & Tom Thumb Wiggler  boxes with blue printing, it is 1 1/2 inches wide by 4 1/2 inches long.

Description Picture
This is a very early box and is extremly rare. It was made for the Expert Minnow. Picture is courtesy of a fellow collector.
This is the earliest box in my collection and is extremly rare. It was made for the Expert Minnow. If you find a box like this one, consider yourself very lucky.
This is an early box, probably from the teen's. The original Tom Thumb Wiggler came in this box.
This is one of the earliest boxes in my collection and is probably one of the hardest to come by. It was made exclusively for the "Scout".
This box and the next were made for the "Tom" series and "Scout" lures back in the early 20's. Both boxes are very hard to come by. boxes
This is the smaller of two boxes made for the "Tom" and "Scout" lures in the early 20's. A very tough box to find.
This box was made for the "Bass Kee-Wig" which was produced from the late 20's through the 30's.
This box is similiar to the one above except it was made for the 'Baby Pike' Kee-Wig.
This box was another generic box which was produced from the late 20's through the 30's.
This box was for a lure Keeling made for the Horrocks & Ibbotsen Co, thus HICO. This example is stamped "HICO #50". The box was produced from the 1920's through the 1930's. It is a fairly difficult box to find.
This is another example of the box used to hold a HICO lure. This one is stamped "HICO #50 LARGE".
Here is an example of a 'generic' box that was produced in the 20's and 30's. Most of the time you find one of the 'Tom' lures with it. This box and the one described next are probably the most common.
This box was also produced in the 20's and the 30's but this had a place in the middle where the lure type was stamped. This example has "MUSKY TOM" stamped on it.
This is another example of the box described above except it is stamped 'General Tom'
